We evaluate every application in the following manner. A prospective tenant must submit an application and provide the following documents:
1. Notice of Assessment (copy of last year's income tax from Revenue Canada) if unsure please see copy of example attached. If you do not have one please call Revenue Canada for a copy 1-800-959-8281.
2. Copy of current form of income: examples are copy of current pay stub if working or if on Social Assistance a copy of your budget letter.
3. Any letters of support, for example: Reference letters from present and previous landlords, letters of support from Chief & Council (Housing portfolio representative), Social Workers, etc.
4. Letter from Manitoba Hydro (or current bill) & City of Winnipeg Water & Waste department stating that you are in good standing and do not owe any outstanding balances.
As a perspective tenant, it's your responsibility to ensure that you have the necessary lawn equipment on hand - regardless of the season. A messy yard and unkempt house will be reported within your neighborhood or reported with Winnipeg's City Livability Officers and will be addressed accordingly by our office. A clean home and yard will benefit everyone in your neighborhood.
