Utilities

Replacing your furnace filter at least once a month during the winter. It will help to reduce your heating costs and will extend the life of the furnace.

Lower your thermostat a couple of degrees when you leave the house or when you go to bed for the night.

Never turn off your furnace.

Make sure that you read your water meter when the city mails you the meter reading card. You should avoid estimated water bills, this will help by making sure your bill is accurate. If you are having trouble with making payments with your water bill, please call water to see if you are available to make a payment arrangement with them. You do not want your water turned off or your bill going to property taxes. This could effect your tenancy.
